I received one of the best gifts any young mother could have hoped for on Mother's Day -- a homemade card from their young child. Love it! Chloe has learned to write "fancy" letters, so she calls it, from looking at the different font types at her preschool. I'll have to scan more of her artwork. That girl and the things that she comes up with! She's even got her own autograph (got the idea from collecting Disney characters' autographs at Disney World this past winter) -- something I'll have to scan it at a later date -- but she signs her name with a heart in place of the "O" in her name.
Mother's Day was good, although I didn't get to relax much. Doua and Chloe took me to lunch, then we headed to Grandma's to spend the afternoon with her. Doua and I gave his mother a pedicure, something much deserved. Then headed off to photograph a wedding, yes - on Mother's Day. But it was a light and beautiful Russian Orthodox wedding. Congratulations Linda and Michael. Because of the late night, we left Chloe to sleep at Grandma's and came back to an empty home. I miss her dearly and can't wait to see her tonight.
