Chloe's Five Years Old Birthday Bash

Last year we took her to Disney World and didn't do anything with her friends and family, so this year we are throwing her a big bash, for it'll be her big five year old birthday, after all. And she can't wait to be five! Lols, so call me crazy but I'm planning Chloe's birthday party already and we're inviting the whole town this year. It's not until December -- Doua thinks I'm crazy and you may agree -- But who cares, this way you won't have an excuse since you know now, well in advance, that you'll have to make it to the party! If you're reading this, you're invited - so be sure to mark your calendars -- December 28, 2008 from 12pm to 5pm.

This month's gone by too quickly. Summer's here and I'm 30 weeks pregnant today. Can't believe it. We're too excited to see Logan. He's giving me all sorts of bruises and aches on my belly. Little boys' kicks and jabs hurt!

So we've decided that we won't be able to move until we sell our condo in downtown St. Paul. Geez, I was so excited some two-three years ago when we moved down there, and now I absolutely HATE it. I'm so sick of living in downtown St. Paul. I'm so sick of the noise, the traffic, the bars. I just want a quiet little house to raise my children in. How strange that the table's flipped a full 180 in just a few short years, eh? So now I'll have to make do and find a corner in the condo to place Logan and all his belongings. I'll also have to buy him earplugs or something to protect him from all the loitering bar noise downstairs. I'm so dang ghetto.

Lots of things happened this month - quick recap:

- I turned 26.

- Chloe had a blast at Mandy and Jannie's princess party

- The window washers finally came and washed our windows. Chloe loved it and kept knocking on the windows and waving at them.

- Spent Father's Day eve at Pang and Pao's. Ate good food and almost got washed away in a storm at the drive-in movies. I was so scared, but Doua was right -- it's an event the kids wil never forget.

- Father's Day -- breakfast in bed to Doua and Pao, all courtesy of Pang and her wonderful kids. I woke up late, 'cause we stayed up until 4am the night before playing poker. So I just slipped in and took credit for Doua's portion. =P Chloe and I then took Doua for a fun day at Como Town. Doua didn't eat anything for the rest of the day, because he was saving his stomache for his special dinner at Fogo de Chao. Fogo de Chao was definitely worth the time and ticket price. We spent about three hours at the restaurant with a couple of friends. The guys loved it and drunk as much as they ate. It is the ultimate man restaurant. I spent the day after the dinner as a vegetarian because I couldn't take in another piece of meat anymore. They also gave the guys a gift certificate for a free lunch. I don't know if we'll go again anytime soon, so whoever wants it -- let us know.

- I've been pretty busy this month with a lot of photoshoots that I almost don't have time for anything else. Bummer because family time is pretty precious nowadays.

- I've finally took the time to think about my maternity leave and what I want to do after it. Having another kid changes everything.

- I lost $300 at the blackjack table. Dammit. All the diapers I could've bought! I was so mad at myself. Hahahaha. I thought I was on a "lucky pregnant lady" streak or something, because the week before I had gone with Khoua and won some money. Well, it sure have taught me a lesson. I will not go to the casino again.

- Chan, Doua's brother, has become Fue-Chan through the traditional Hmong renaming ritual. We have to plan Doua's ritual soon.

Check back soon. Cheers, Yeng.
